Pagan mom challenges Bibles in North Carolina school (Barf Alert)

For those of you haven't heard the story, a Wiccan mother's kid came home with a bible. When she called the school asking why, they explained that bibles were donated to the school for the children, and they'd do the same with any donated books. The mother showed up the next day with some Wiccan spellbooks, and now their policy towards religious texts is under review.

“But when Strivelli showed up at the school with pagan spell books, she was turned away.”

Because making potions and drinking them or making others drink them is dangerous.

This is common sense.

*

If Ginger Strivelli’s son had brought home a Koran, I’m sure she would have smiled approvingly on the schools wonderful sense of diversity and it’s celebration of multiculturalism.

*

Like many self-identified Wiccans/Pagans/etc., this woman fits the profile of unattractive, overweight attention- whore...

*

In my opinion, the Buncombe County Public School System opened this can of worms themselves by allowing a sacred religious text (ANY sacred religious text) to be distributed in the county's public schools.
I think they should consider themselves fortunate they were challenged by a local crack-pot from some fringe "religion", as opposed to having to deal with a bunch of well organized, lawyered-up, CAIR representatives showing up with a thousand copies of the Koran.

*

Turn that around. Whenever someone tries to push paganism or Islam, demand equal time for Christianity.

*

Never seen a good looking pagan. That stuff is the last bastion for the freaks and such. And it shows...
